Monthly Social
Join our November Social at the the Orvis Rochester Store. We’ll have guest Speaker Scott Daskiewich from the Native Fish Coalition speak to us about Native Trout in New York State.
SCOTT DASKIEWICH was born and raised in the southern Tug Hill Plateau area of upstate New York. He currently lives in the Mohawk Valley area with his wife and two daughters. Scott attended University of Buffalo where he received a degree in Chemical Engineering. Scott caught his first wild native brook trout in ponds while on family hiking trips to the Adirondack Mountains. This spurred a lifetime fascination with stillwater trout and the various challenges they face. Scott is an avid fly fisher and fly tyer, and also enjoying skiing, mountain biking, running, mushroom foraging, and hiking. He is currently the New York chairman of the Native Fish Coalition and sees NFC as a key driver for protecting the wild native fish species in the Adirondack Park region where they currently face many challenges.

We will remove those packs, pull out the bugs, sort them by type, count them, and put them back into the stream.
